Signature Medical Group has an opening for a BC/BE pediatrician to oversee a well-established outpatient department of Pediatrics. This unique opportunity based out of Easton includes a patient panel of 1,200+ and comes with a $50,000 Chief stipend.

We are looking for a Chief of Pediatrics to oversee a team of six pediatricians as part of Signature Medical Group, a multi-site multispecialty physician group headquartered just 25 miles from Boston. This is a clinical leadership position with 20% Leadership and 80% Clinical time, the role is based out of our Easton practice. Our Pediatric team is made up of three Pediatricians at our Easton practice, as well as three Pediatricians providing care at our Brockton Hospital campus outpatient practice. The appropriate candidate has strong clinical leadership experience and enjoys working with a diverse patient population. We are looking for a leader who brings pediatric experience as well as a strong commitment to serve the community.

DETAILS

• This position is full time, 32 clinical hours and 8 leadership administrative hours.
• Round on well newborns at Brockton hospital one day a week, and one weekend per month.
• One Saturday and one Sunday (half day) required per month.
• One late evening session per week.
• Call is 1 in 4 for newborn hospital calls, overnight phone call system that has nurse triage for patient calls. 
• No delivery attendance required, Pediatric Hospitalists cover the inpatient pediatric ward Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital has Pediatric Hospitalists from Tufts Floating Hospital for Children on site 24/7.

LEADERSHIP

• The Chief of Pediatrics will work to develop effective relationships between management and physicians and among medical staff, providing the leadership.
• Responsible for growth of pediatrics and supporting service line.
• Work collaboratively with Managed Care and department physicians in achieving performance goals.
• Review and/or develop, recommend, and approve policies and procedures related to practice and administration to ensure appropriateness and compliance with SHC strategies, regulatory agencies, and standard medical practice.

REQUIREMENTS

• Medical degree, Massachusetts Medical License, Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics.
• Proven leadership skills and 4+ of experience in an outpatient pediatric role.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills are a must.
• Strong work ethic and desire to participate in a team-oriented environment.
