Creative engineers, data scientists, clinical innovators or entrepreneurs are invited to join One Brave Idea (OBI), a new type of research enterprise dedicated to tackling coronary heart disease. OBI is funded by a $75 million partnership between the American Heart Association, Verily, and AstraZeneca, and is based in Boston, MA at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. The newly announced two-year Mower Fellow program provides a unique opportunity for individuals from a variety of backgrounds to join a dynamic, multidisciplinary team, in an effort to understand the earliest derangements in coronary heart disease, and how to rapidly translate scientific discoveries into clinical and commercial application. Potential applicants could include data scientists or engineers who have special expertise that is not currently being applied to coronary heart disease, post-graduate physicians interested in introducing technologic or digital innovations into the clinic, and entrepreneurs interested in developing new models for academia-industry partnerships that allow rapid translation of discoveries to commercial development.

More information about the Mower Fellowship, the application process, and OBI may be found at: www.onebraveidea.com/fellowship/

Interested applicants should send a cover letter and cv including three references to: amercurio@bwh.harvard.edu
