The Cardiovascular Division at the University of Minnesota has regional and national reputation in cardiovascular clinical care and research. The Division is now recruiting a cardiologist, in the Academic track with the area of emphasis in clinical care, to enhance this mission as a leader of the Vascular Section/Program and member of the Interventional section/program.
The candidate will work closely with Cardiovascular Division and LHI leadership to expand the University’s clinical and academic missions. The position will be based on 80% clinical and 20% protected research effort. Additional research time would be available for suitable candidates. Clinical efforts will include catheterization lab interventions (peripheral and coronary), inpatient hospital service, and University clinics.
Required areas of expertise include general clinical cardiology and advanced training and expertise in coronary and peripheral interventions, vascular patient care management, proven knowledge and success in research skills, experience in supporting medicine post-graduate fellowship training, a publication track record of successful research, and experience and knowledge in grant submissions for external funding.
