As we expand our neurological health services across the Northwell Health System, the Department of Neurology is seeking dynamic junior and senior neurologists and sub-specialists to join our academic multi-disciplinary team. Opportunities are currently available in Metropolitan New York City, Westchester, and Long Island. The ideal candidate will be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Neurology. Fellowship training in Multiple Sclerosis, Epilepsy, Stroke, Movement Disorders, or Neuro-Oncology is a welcome addition.
The Neurology Service Line is lead by Dr. Souhel Najjar, who is a world-renowned physician, internationally recognized for his clinical, research, and teaching expertise, having dedicated his career to the diagnosis and treatment of epilepsy, neuroinflammation-related neuropsychiatric disorders, and autoimmune disorders of central nervous system.
The Department of Neurology has seen tremendous growth over the past five years within Long Island, New York City, and Westchester; with the goal of providing comprehensive, integrated health care and wellness services. The Department of Neurology brings together the vast resources of Northwell Health and the Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine to provide state-of-the-art care while contributing to advances in technology, education, and research.
The Feinstein Institute currently has more than 2,000 research studies being conducted with more than 15,000 participants enrolled each year. Our state-of-the-art laboratories provide the infrastructure needed to conduct groundbreaking, disease-oriented research. They also house the largest genotyping facility in the State of New York. The Feinstein Institute ranks in the top 5th percentile of all National Institutes of Health (NIH) grants awarded to research centers.
Lastly, the Northwell Health System has established a transformative relationship with Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, a world-leader in research that promises to speed the advancement of novel diagnostic and therapeutic discoveries.
