Chair, Akron General Emergency Department
Cleveland Clinic Akron General is seeking a Chair for the Department of Emergency Medicine. This position will oversee the brand new 57,000 square foot academic level 1 trauma center as well as 3 community free-standing ED's. These four sites have a combined volume of approximately 125,000 visits. The ACGME accredited Emergency Medicine residency was the first community teaching hospital EM residency in the country. Faculty appointment options are available through Case, Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine, and NEOMED. Clinical appointments through the Emergency Services Institute at Cleveland Clinic are also available.
The successful candidate should have a proven record of operational leadership, clinical service, teaching, mentoring, and academic excellence. Board certification in Emergency Medicine is required.
