Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor (MCL or UTL)
The Division of Endocrinology, Gerontology, and Metabolism in the Department of Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine invites applicants for two full-time faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, and/or Professor in either the University Tenure Line or Medical Center Line.
Applicants should be Physician-Scientists with interests in basic and/or translational/clinical research in any area of endocrinology, with interests in diabetes or obesity desirable. Applicants should have either an MD or MD, PhD, or equivalent degrees, be board-eligible or certified in endocrinology, and should have a strong record of accomplishments. Independent grant funding (or, for more junior candidates, the potential to obtain such funding), publication record, and programmatic synergy will be considered.
Rank and line will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidates. The predominant criteria for appointment in the University Tenure Line are a major commitment to research and teaching. The major criteria for appointment in the Medical Center Line shall be excellence in the overall mix of clinical care, clinical teaching, and scholarly activity that advances clinical medicine, and institutional service-appropriate to the programmatic need the individual is expected to fulfill.
