PHD - Clinical Chemistry

  The Department of Laboratory Medicine is seeking a clinical chemist to join our growing laboratories at Geisinger Health System. The position is based at the new, state-of-the-art central laboratory in Danville, Pa. The successful candidate will share responsibility for chemistry and toxicology testing with 2 clinical chemists to assure quality, harmonization and standardization at 7 hospital laboratories and 8 clinic labs. The core laboratory performs more than 6 million tests annually. The Laboratory Medicine Department includes 39 pathologists and PhDs.

 

A PhD with board certification or eligibility in clinical chemistry is required. Experience directing a clinical chemistry laboratory, subspecialty expertise and a background that includes research and teaching are desirable.
