Responsibilities
- Medical Directorship of assigned clinics
- Give medical direction to the medical and medical assistance staff
- Lead the development and evaluation of standards of medical care throughout the clinics in the region
- Position is split between administrative leadership at 25 percent and clinical responsibilities at 75 percent
- Clinical duties
- Diagnose and treat diseases, disorders and injuries, and refer patients to medical specialists or other practitioners for specialized treatment
- Complete physical assessment of patients
- Conduct and order various tests, analyses, and diagnostic images for patients
- Prescribe medications and therapies
- Input patient medical data into electronic medical records
- Operational Responsibilities
- Interview Practitioner candidates for on-site clinics
- Review clinic space and coordinate scheduling
- Present data for clinic proposals to potential and existing clients
- Quality Assurance
- Assist in improving quality/customer satisfaction
- Train new employees as assigned
Desired Skills
- Has an M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited educational institution
- Is Board Certified or Board Eligible, if testing soon, preferably in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine
- Has an unrestricted licensed to practice medicine in the State of California, or a CA Provisional License in progress
- Current DEA, DPS, CPR and BLS
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus
