Vice President, Quality and Safety at Renown Health

Cejka Executive Search has been retained by Renown Health, northern Nevada’s largest not-for-profit health network and Accountable Care Organization, to recruit a system Vice President, Quality and Safety leader.  

Based in Reno, Nevada, Renown Health serves patients across a 17-county region that includes northern Nevada, Lake Tahoe and northeast California. Committed to transformational healthcare and under the strategic direction of the dynamic physician Chief Executive Officer, Renown Health is forging strategic partnerships, such as with a medical school and research institute, to advance access and provide world class health care. 

The Vice President, Quality and Safety will serve as a transformational leader to achieve national best practice performance in quality, safety and service excellence across the enterprise. The Vice President will champion, implement and manage the Strategic Quality Improvement Plan, in collaboration with senior leadership and medical staff, to advance clinical quality, performance improvement and patient safety programs across the continuum of care, including Renown’s health plan, inpatient services, post-acute services, employed medical group and clinically integrated network. The Vice President will advance a culture of safety and quality, transparency, multidisciplinary collaboration, measurement and accountability with leaders, clinicians, and hospital staff. By collaborating with the population health management office, the Vice President will advance Renown Health’s population health strategic initiatives and achieve excellence in care management and transitions. Direct areas of responsibility includes oversight of clinical excellence, patient safety, risk management, environmental safety, infection prevention and control, service excellence, medical staff administration, bioethics program and clinical documentation improvement. This position is also responsible for leading the organization's continuous survey readiness and compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards.

Ideal candidates will demonstrate a track record leading and implementing a quality and performance excellence program within an integrated health system to advance the quality, service and cost of care across the care continuum. Experience in risk management and regulatory compliance is required as is a Master’s in nursing, business or healthcare related field. Candidates with a clinical background are encouraged to apply.
