The Department of Medicine at the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine is seeking candidates with expertise and experience in transplant infectious diseases as part of a cluster hire to establish a stem cell transplant program. The position will be in a clinical (non-tenure track) series at the Associate or Full Professor level. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain at least 50% clinical effort, with the remaining concentrated in research and teaching commensurate with the candidate’s interests. Special consideration will be given to those with an interest in conducting clinical research. UC Irvine is ranked first among US universities under 50 years old by Times Higher Education based on research and teaching excellence, home to one of 48 NCI designated comprehensive cancer centers, and one of only 23 institutions also holding a Clinical Translational Science Award. An MD or equivalent degree and board certification in infectious diseases are required. Applicants must possess or be eligible to obtain an active medical practice license in the State of California.
