Job Details
Yale Health, Yale University’s health maintenance organization for faculty, staff, and students, is currently seeking a full-time primary care internist to join the department of Internal Medicine. We are especially interested in candidates who can contribute, through their education and experience, to the diversity and excellence of the Yale community. Successful candidates will be professionals who are stimulated by the idea of working with our unique patient population, which includes members of all ages, socioeconomic backgrounds, and varied racial/ethnic identities. The Internal Medicine Department provides primary care to Yale faculty, employees, and their families in a patient-centered environment. The new internist will carry an assigned patient panel of new and existing health plan members. Our multidisciplinary teams offer excellent nursing support and hold regular huddles and team meetings. Yale Health is a lively collegial environment that offers weekly educational conferences and Grand Rounds, as well as many opportunities to participate in quality improvement projects. There are opportunities for medical student and resident teaching and a Yale clinical faculty appointment is available.
The position has primarily outpatient responsibilities but includes participation in a 1:10 weekend call rotation that includes hospital rounding.

Required Licenses or Certifications: Holds or is eligible to hold a Connecticut Medical License, Holds or is eligible to hold a Connecticut Controlled Substance Registration, Federal DEA Registration, Board certification or eligibility; Qualifies for hospital and faculty appointments.
