Physician

TeamHealth is looking for a full-time Physician to join our team in the Emergency Department at Florida Hospital - Waterman in Tavares, Florida. Our 264-bed facility features a 35-bed ED with a 25 percent admission rate and an annual volume of 67,000. New addition to the ED underway will double the ED size, increasing to 58-ED beds, with completion expected in July of 2019. We currently provide 46 hours of Physician coverage and 52 hours of APC coverage each day. Our ED team utilizes Cerner as the EMR and we have a scribe program for all of our ED Physicians and APCs. Most specialties are available 24/7 onsite/in house, allowing our team to only transfer out Neurosurgery and PEDS-ICU, which is a one-call by our Florida Hospital - Orlando team. We are looking for top notch Emergency Medicine Physicians to join our excellent hospital and nursing culture that has mission to serve the people of our community. As the county seat for Lake County, Tavares is the hub of activity. It is situated between Lake Eustis and Lake Dora in Central Florida and has more than 8,000 acres of state parkland nearby. The area is the perfect place for fishing, water sports, hiking, canoeing, and many other recreational activities. An added attraction may be that Orlando is only 30 miles away.
