Trinity Health Of New England, the region's largest nonprofit health system, is growing and seeks a highly experienced Vice President of Academic Affairs to join our five well-established hospitals: Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, and Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital in Hartford, Connecticut; Johnson Memorial Hospital in Stafford Springs, Connecticut; Saint Mary's Hospital in Waterbury, Connecticut; and Mercy Medical Center in Springfield, Massachusetts.

In this role, you will oversee strategic academic partnerships for the region that will include responsibility for Undergraduate Medical Education, Graduate Medical Education, Research, IRB, Medical Library resources and simulation programs. This is an exceptional opportunity to demonstrate your strong collaborative, strategic and leadership skills.

As the Vice President of Academic Affairs, you will develop the strategic direction and oversight of the department in collaboration with the SVP, Chief Physician Executive, and the Executive Leadership Team of all hospital presidents.

You'll provide the senior management with interface between the health system and its academic partners, and effectively navigate the complex health care system to achieve results. You'll also have the opportunity to mentor key physicians, nurses and administrators regarding the academic enterprise.

An MD or DO is preferred, or another advanced clinical professional degree is required.
