Northwell Health is seeking a full-time junior or senior Anesthesiologist to join our obstetric team in Department of Anesthesiology at Staten Island University Hospital. The ideal candidate will be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Anesthesiology. The obstetric anesthesiologist is part of a team of one full-time and one part-time anesthesiologist that provides an on-demand anesthesia service to the obstetric unit 24/7, 5 days a week. The schedule between the FTEs is very flexible and provides ample down time between shifts and the obstetric anesthesiologist has no commitment outside of the obstetric unit. There is a CRNA assigned to obstetrics from 7am-7pm Mon- Fri. Weekends are covered by a separate team. SIUH has over 3,000 deliveries per year and a very low C-section rate compared to the national average. We are looking for Anesthesiologists who is actively involved in the overall management of laboring patients with the obstetricians, residents and nursing staff.
