Duke Health and the Kernodle Clinic seek a physician to join their Walk-In Clinic in Burlington, NC. The Kernodle Clinic affiliated with Duke's faculty practice in 2013 and is Duke's flagship practice in their western market. Kernodle is also their largest community-based multi-specialty practice with 50 physicians and 26 mid-level providers covering 15 medical and surgical specialties. The practice is adjacent to Alamance Regional Medical Center (ARMC), a well-equipped, modern facility with 238 beds which is part of the Cone Health group of hospitals.

Ideal candidates are BC/BE Family Practice or Internal Medicine physicians with a broad spectrum of urgent care and primary care experience. Hospital Medicine and Emergency Medicine physicians are also encouraged to consider this full-time opportunity. The Walk-In Clinic provided almost 19,000 patient encounters in 2016 with two full-time physicians and two part-time physicians.

The Walk-In Clinic has office hours Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, Saturday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and Sunday from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The Walk-In is at the heart of this large multi-specialty clinic with six exam rooms, one procedure room, and two physician offices. There is on-site digital x-ray and laboratory testing. Staff consists of two Registered Nurses, four Certified Medical Assistants, and two receptionists. There are no call responsibilities for this position.
