Medical Director - Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Inpatient Service
Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA), a well-respected, nationally recognized and award-winning public healthcare system, is recruiting a Medical Director for our Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Inpatient Service. CHA is a teaching affiliate of both Harvard Medical School (HMS) and Tufts University School of Medicine. Our system is comprised of three campuses and an integrated network of both primary and specialty outpatient care practices in Cambridge, Somerville and Boston’s Metro North Region.
This full time position will oversee the Psychiatry Inpatient Service, which consists of 27 inpatient beds across two inpatient units and serves the entire pediatric population. The incoming Medical Director will work in close collaboration with the Associate Chief Nursing Officer for psychiatry, the Nurse Manager and the Manager of Social Work. The position reports to the Division Chief and is part of the division leadership group. Training and education is an important function and oversight of trainees is expected, as well as close collaboration with the different training programs.
The position is based in Cambridge and candidates should be Board Certified in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Very light weekend call. Average caseload is 6-8 patients per day and support from medical specialties and other multidisciplinary resources are readily available. Harvard Medical School appointment commensurate with medical school criteria.
