Mayo Clinic's Division of Nephrology & Hypertension is seeking an Academic Nephrologist to join our practice in Jacksonville, FL.

In this position, you’ll have the opportunity to serve as an academic nephrologist providing evaluation and consultation for patients with nephrolithiasis, in addition to caring for patients with complex renal and hypertensive disorders. The nephrologist will join a team of eight other general and transplant nephrologists. A team of nephrology NP/PAs and nurses support the practice. You will teach and serve as a mentor for our nephrology fellows, internal medicine residents, and Mayo Clinic School of Medicine medical students. You will have the opportunity to develop new research programs, as well as build on existing research projects to advance the academic mission of the division.

The preferred candidate will have demonstrated a significant track record of major contribution in nephrology with extramural funded research and evidence of national and/or international leadership. The candidate will have the credentials for appointment at the rank of Associate Professor/Professor at Mayo Clinic School of Medicine. The candidate is expected to establish a strong academic program with a major footprint in clinical or translational research. The candidate will have protected research time to establish a clinical or translational research program, intramural funding, capital equipment funding, technical and computational resources, and exceptional benefits.

Qualified candidates must have an ABIM board certified/board eligible in Nephrology. Eligible for medical licensure in Florida.
