Natividad Family Medicine Faculty Positions

Salinas, Monterey County, California

Saludos from Steinbeck Country!

The Natividad Family Medicine Residency Program is seeking new Family Medicine Faculty to support our growth from 24 (8-8-8) to 30 (10-10-10) residents and to meet the needs of our new state-of-the-art 16,000 square foot Family Medicine Practice on the hospital campus, which opened in the Summer of 2015. The Residency was established in 1975 as a community hospital residency with primary affiliation with the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine, and has maintained its status as the only residency between San Jose and Santa Maria, on California’s Central Coast. It is sponsored by Natividad Medical Center, a 172-bed County/safety-net hospital serving as the County’s Level II Trauma Center. Residents receive strong experience in hospital medicine and maternity care even as we engage in Residency Practice transformation with the CEPC Transforming Teaching Practices Team from UCSF. There is an OB Fellowship which supports the FP Maternity teaching and clinical services. We are a core rotation site for medical students from Touro Medical School and provide rotations for sub-internships from UCSF and many medical schools around the country.

Faculty will spend 75% of their time providing direct patient care in our FMP. Other duties will include family medicine inpatient and/or obstetric care and participation in scholarly and Residency administrative activities as assigned.

Candidates with interests in outpatient and urgent care, musculoskeletal medicine, pediatrics, adolescent medicine, and obstetrics are particularly desirable.

Applicants for part-time positions at 0.6 FTE or higher will be considered. Women and Minorities are encouraged to apply. Spanish language competency is preferred. Salary and benefits are competitive and commensurable with skills and experience.

DO Faculty interested in supporting our Osteopathic Recognition application process are encouraged to apply.
