Western Connecticut Medical Group is seeking a Nocturnist/Adult Hospitalist for Danbury Hospital in Danbury, CT about 70 miles northeast of New York City, and near the border of Westchester and Putnam Counties in New York State, to join our established and busy program. This is a brand new opening. Position is a NIGHT schedule from 8 PM – 8 AM with two weekends per month and is an employed position with Western Connecticut Medical Group. We offer a competitive compensation package, including base salary plus quality incentives and allowances for CMEs and Dues. The ideal candidate will be board certified/eligible in Internal Medicine. Visa sponsorship (H1-B Only) may be available for this great opportunity to join a team with a small community hospital feel in a collegial work environment while being able to work closely with different specialties.
Established in 1885, Danbury Hospital is a not-for-profit community hospital providing Greater Danbury area residents convenient access to exceptional care. Danbury Hospital has 371 beds and is a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 70,000 ED visits per year. Provide medical care to patients, assist them to recover from acute illnesses, and minimize the effects of chronic illnesses.
- MD or DO with Connecticut State and Federal Narcotic Use Registration
- Preferred: Prior experience as a staff physician or Hospitalist but new Residents are encouraged to apply
- Have successfully completed an Internal Medicine
- Board Certified or Board Eligible
- Willingness to work variable 12-hour shifts 8 PM – 8 AM including about two weekends per month for a total of about 15 shifts per month. Typical schedule is 4 on 3 off then 3 on 4 off
