Pathology Midwest Opportunity

Marshfield Clinic Eau Claire Hospital in Western Wisconsin is seeking an enthusiastic and team-oriented full-time pathologist to serve our new 44-bed Hospital with an adjacent new Cancer Center. Completion of the state of the art facility is expected by mid-2018. The ideal candidate will need to be BC/BE in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology, with at least five years of experience in general pathology; and a Surgical Pathology fellowship preferred. There will be outreach to surrounding communities, and customary on-call coverage duties.

This will be the first Marshfield Clinic pathologist to be based in Eau Claire and will be supported by our Laboratory Team that includes 19 pathologists located in four communities in central and northern Wisconsin. Our Pathology specialists have expertise in cytopathology, dermatopathology, gastrointestinal pathology, hematopathology, infectious disease pathology, molecular pathology, nephropathology, neuropathology/neuromuscular pathology, pulmonary pathology, and transfusion medicine, and 5 PhD clinical laboratory scientists.

The Department accessions approximately 45,000 surgical cases each year and maintains on-site ancillary diagnostic services including a broad immunohistochemical menu, transmission electron microscopy, FISH, cytogenetics and a molecular pathology laboratory. Academic affiliations with regional universities and research opportunities in collaboration with the Marshfield Clinic Research Institute are encouraged.
