Denver Health and Hospital Authority is recruiting for a full-time Urgent Care Physician (Family Medicine) for the Denver Health Southwest Health Clinic, located ten minutes from Downtown Denver. The ideal candidate will be board certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine. Responsibilities will include diagnosis and treatment of an array of pediatric and adult illness and injuries, ordering and interpreting diagnostic testing based upon evidenced-based medicine and clinical practice guidelines, and procedures may include suturing, x-ray, EKGs, etc.

Schedule: Southwest Urgent Care is open Monday – Friday, 9am-8pm, and Saturday and Sunday, 9am-4pm. The successful applicant will be joining a diverse team of six providers in the urgent care setting and a larger primary care team in the Southwest Health Center of 20+ providers.

Denver Health is a fully integrated network of nine community health centers, 17 school-based clinics, and a Level I 525-licensed bed hospital with a mission of providing access to quality preventive, acute, and chronic health care for all citizens of Denver, regardless of ability to pay. Denver Health is affiliated with the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, and serves as a training site for medical residents and fellows. The successful applicant will also have a faculty appointment at the University of Colorado at a rank commensurate with previous experience.

In addition to full scope primary/urgent care, responsibilities may also include supervision of trainees and clinical research.
