Dynamic and financially successful 250 plus provider physician run multi-specialty medical group, within a market dominant 4 hospital system, seeks a Neurologist to lead its new Neurosciences service line. This dyad leadership role will allow you to utilize and demonstrate your leadership and administrative skills. General and Sub-specialty Neurologists are invited to respond.

  • Work closely with the new Administrative AVP of the Neurosciences department in this exciting start-up role
  • In addition to developing, growing, and oversight of the Neurosciences Service line, administrative duties include assure clinical and behavioral standards are met by department physicians and staff, excellence in operations, clinical outcomes, patient satisfaction, and financial performance
  • Your position will be comprised of approximately 50% administrative and 50% clinical. You will have flexibility in creating your daily and weekly schedule
  • You will report directly to the Chief Medical Officer
  • Clinical duties include practicing general Neurology or a combination of general and sub-specialty Neurology
  • The health system’s established Neurohospitalist service will afford you the opportunity to practice 100% out-patient if desired
  • Strong Neurosurgery and Neuro-interventional Radiology services in place
  • Substantial employed physician referral base will contribute to the service line’s growth and development
  • An outstanding base salary plus potential income through a RVU production and administrative bonuses compares very favorably to other positions throughout the Northeast and New England

  • The City of Poughkeepsie, NY is ideally located half way between New York City and Albany
  • It serves as the county seat for Dutchess County, NY and is known as “The Queen City of the Hudson”
  • The ratification of New York took place in Poughkeepsie when the city served as the State Capital of New York in 1788. New York became the eleventh state to enter the new Union. Three of those members to debate and then ratify the United States Constitution included Alexander Hamilton, John Jay, and George Clinton
  • The Culinary Institute of America is located in the historic nearby town of Hyde Park. A number of graduates stayed in the Poughkeepsie area and have opened up wonderful restaurants
