PHYSICIAN - HOSPITAL MEDICINE DIRECTOR OPPORTUNITY

 

Geisinger Health System’s growing Department of Hospital Medicine is recruiting for a director in our Northeast Region at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center

 

Responsibilities include leadership and management of a group of 25 physicians and 13 mid-levels providing care in 2 facilities with total volumes of approximately 8,000 discharges and 32,000 encounters per year.  Minimum requirements include board certification in internal medicine, as well as prior experience in management and medical education.

 

Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center (GWV), located Plains, Pa., is licensed for 238 beds and is a level 2 trauma center.  GWV offers an array of highly specialized medical and surgical services, including neurosciences, cardiovascular services, women’s health, oncology and orthopaedics.  The hospital medicine team has an integral role in the top priorities of patient centered quality care and inpatient flow.  Outpatient services are available on and off campus.
