Physician – Family Practice

Providence Health & Services - Oregon d/b/a Providence Medical Group South desires to employ a Physician - Family Practice at the Providence Medical Group - Medford Family Practice in Medford, Oregon. The Physician - Family Practice serves as a primary caregiver and diagnoses and treats common diseases and injuries for all age groups. This role also requires effective communication of preventative measures, both medical and nonmedical, for avoiding disease and injury. Specifically, the Physician - Family Practice's duties shall include: * Prescribe and administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care for all age groups. * Order, perform, and interpret tests. * Analyze records, reports, and examination information to diagnose patients' condition. * Monitor patients' condition and progress, reevaluation treatments as necessary. * Collect and maintain patient information such as medical history, reports, and exam results. * Advise patients of preventative self-care including diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention. * On-Call services as necessary. * Identify serious or specialized illness or injuries, and refer patients to the specialist. * Work with nurses and other medical facility staff to ensure proper patient care. * Maintain up-to-date knowledge of modern diagnosis and treatment techniques. * Perform other duties relating to the program as requested by physician division/ hospital administration. Minimum requirements: * Medical Degree or Foreign Equivalent; * Completion of a Three-year Residency in Family Medicine; * Board Certification in Family Medicine or Board Eligible with scheduled testing date; * Oregon State Medical License; and * Certification in American Heart Association's Basic Life Support (BLS).
