Clinical Hospitalist Fellowship - Wilkes Barre, PA
Geisinger Health System (GHS) is seeking candidates for a unique, non-traditional fellowship opportunity. The Clinical Hospital Medicine Fellowship is a one year program that provides physicians with a year of intensive inpatient training, so that upon completion of the fellowship, the fellow is able to manage complex inpatient medical issues. This fellowship is uniquely beneficial to Family Medicine trained physicians that wish to work as a hospitalist.
Throughout the year the fellow will split time working as a clinical hospitalist (13 weeks) at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center. The fellow will gain experience as a hospitalist in our fully-integrated nationally recognized healthcare system.
Job Requirements: The ideal candidate will have completed an ACGME or AOA accredited residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine and have an expressed interest in hospital medicine. BC/BE physicians who have graduated from residency within 5 years of starting the fellowship.
