Healthcare organization, located in NYC, is seeking a Chief Medical Officer to be a key member of the Senior Management team, engaged in providing leadership to all clinical staff. In addition, this position leads the overall clinical vision for the organization and provides clinical direction to the organization. The position provides oversight, expertise, and leadership to ensure accredited programs are operating in a compliant manner while acting in the best interest of consumers and clients. Responsibilities also include the strategy, development, and implementation of innovative programs that include collaboration with strategic business partners.

Requirements
• MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school with relevant postgraduate residency or fellowship training
• Unrestricted license to practice medicine in at least one US state or territory
• Board Certified by an ABMS or AOA recognized Board
• Five or more years of clinical practice experience mandatory. Leadership and operational experience in: Utilization management, medical policy, independent review/appeals, and technology assessment in URAC or NCQA-accredited organizations; Managing and recruiting medical directors and clinical consultants; Establishing and directing criteria- and evidence-based review processes and organizations; Quality management as applicable to review, audit, and utilization management; Overseeing, directing, and educating both clinical and non-clinical personnel; Payer organization operations including responsibility for fraud waste and abuse control, systems of coding and reimbursement, provider organization interaction; Client and organizational-partner relationship management; Contracting and vendor management; Interacting with government regulators and accrediting entities
• Willing to travel extensively within New York and nationally, as needed
• Creative and innovative with resourceful presentative and public speaking skills

• Excellent quantitative, clinical, and analytical skills
• Advanced computer skills including use of MS Office and various database systems as needed
• Ability to advocate for, facilitate, and manage change within and outside the organization
• Superior written communication skills
• Ability to specify the gathering of clinical and operational data and to interpret data in support of corporate objectives.
