The candidate will be part of the Neurology and Rehabilitation Service, a large interdisciplinary group of professionals that include neurologists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, recreational therapists, physicians assistants, nurse practitioner, speech pathologist, and psychologist. There is close working relationship with other hospital services, including Ambulatory Care, Geriatrics, Psychology, Psychiatry, Social Services, Nursing, Medical Service, and Surgery Service. The Neuroscience Center offers clinic space and support for clinical assessments. PT, OT, and TR gyms are available. 

The Neurology & Rehabilitation Service of the Oklahoma City VA Health Care System is seeking a driven and upbeat neurologist with interest in memory loss, dementia, and neuro-degenerative diseases. Responsibilities include participation in an established Alzheimer's and memory loss clinic, and expansion of services to related patient populations, such as movement disorders and neurovascular diseases. The candidate will participate in resident and student teaching and supervision on inpatient and outpatient settings, together with the other neurologists in the team.

Academic Appointment: Academic appointment will be with the Department of Neurology at the  University of Oklahoma Health Science Center. Academic ranking will be based on  educational experience and  clinical and/or research experience

 Nature of work: 30% Administrative and 70% clinical. Research time is available.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Plus Neurology Inpatient attending a few weeks a year.
