Loma Linda University Faculty Medical Group, Transplant Institute, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant who is passionate about practicing in a collegial, friendly, faith based environment alongside transplant surgeons, nephrologists, and hepatologists.

This position involves the outpatient setting during our regular clinics hours at the Loma Linda Transplantation Institute.

The primary responsibilities will include the evaluation and management of pre and post kidney and pancreas transplant patients and living kidney donors. This includes evaluation of candidacy for transplantation or donation, selection of appropriate pre transplant evaluation labs and procedures, and post-transplant care such as wound care, immunosuppression management, infectious disease screening and treatment, ongoing care of other medical comorbidities, and management and care of living donors post donation. Secondary responsibilities will be the same as above but for liver transplant. Weekly meetings include kidney and pancreas selection committees, living donor selection, kidney, and pancreas quality meetings. Other meetings may include liver selection, tumor board, and liver pathology conference.

Our kidney transplant program is rapidly expanding and we are on track to perform approximately 200 adult and pediatric transplants this year. We have innovative programs such as ABO incompatible transplants and desensitization for HLA mismatched patients. Our living donor program is growing, including paired exchange (kidney swap) transplants.
