Northwell Health’s Cushing Neurosciences Institute, is seeking a Fellowship-trained Neuro-Oncologist to join two other Neuro-Oncologists serving Long Island and New York City. Ideal applicants would be both ABPN and ACNS eligible for Neurology and Neuro-Oncology subspecialty board certifications, with clinical trial experience and strong interpersonal skills.

The Brain Tumor Program is part of the Cushing Neuroscience Institute – a comprehensive advanced neuroscience center of excellence, which includes brain tumor neurosurgery with intraoperative MRI, skull base neurosurgery, pediatric neurosurgery at the Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children’s Hospital, interventional neurology, a dedicated neurocritical care unit, dedicated palliative care unit, radiation oncology including Gamma Knife technology, research, and clinical neuroradiology, three neuropathologists, a long standing brain tumor bank, resident support, and the Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine. Support within the Brain Tumor Center includes clinical trial research nurses and two clinical Nurse Practitioners.

We are located adjacent to the Division of Hematology/Oncology, in New Hyde Park, a suburb of New York City within 30 minutes of midtown Manhattan. Additionally, this growing 200,000 square foot campus includes centers for radiation, medical, urologic, and surgical oncology, providing an exceptional setting for a strong candidate who is looking to practice neuro-oncology in a warm, collaborative environment with ample opportunity for academic career advancement.

Salary Disclosure

Full-time clinical base compensation at Northwell Health ranges from $125K to $750K, which is impacted by various factors, including but not limited to physician specialty, level of experience, quality of care, academic accomplishments, patient experience and productivity. The base compensation range listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.
