This community hospital has a total annual Emergency Department volume of 70,000 to include the adult Emergency Department, peds Emergency Department, & intermediate care unit. The adult, or main Emergency Department sees approx 220 pts/day utilizing a split flow model. There are phlebotomists stationed within the Department. Joint Commission certified Emergency Department as a stroke center. There is a full neuroscience department within the hospital. Residents in Family Medicine, neuroscience, and dental. 24 hr in house OB and peds hospitalists. Also 24 hr in house radiologists. Emergency Department has a very good relationship with hospital administration and medical staff.
