Duke University School of Medicine and the Division of Geriatrics seek two additional fellowship trained Geriatricians to expand Duke's Geriatrics consultation service, plus grow two new programs: Health Optimization Program for Elders (HOPE) and Perioperative Optimization of Senior Health (POSH).
Responsibilities will include expanding both hospital care and transitional care to elders with multimorbidity and complex care needs, increasing the efficiency of appropriate perioperative care to high risk elders, plus establishing high quality value-based clinical programs that maximize Geriatrics expertise. Academic rank and salary will commensurate with qualifications. Duke faculty enjoy exceptional compensation and benefits, including tuition assistance for college-age children.
As a world-class academic and health care system, Duke Medicine strives to transform medicine and health locally and globally through innovative scientific research, rapid translation of breakthrough discoveries, educating future clinical and scientific leaders, advocating and practicing evidence-based medicine to improve community health, and leading efforts to eliminate health inequalities.
