The Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Nephrology, at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans is seeking a Pediatric Nephrologist to join four full-time, board certified faculty. The successful candidate will be hired as a full-time Pediatric Nephrologist at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor (non-tenure, clinical track). Academic rank will be determined by the candidate’s credentials and experience. The Division offers a full range of nephrology services including all modalities of renal replacement therapy and plasmapheresis in supporting neonatal, pediatric critical care, oncology, bone marrow transplant, and kidney transplantation program. The selected candidate will become actively involved in all aspects of the residency program and the pediatric nephrology fellowship program. Clinical responsibilities will include all aspects of Pediatric Nephrology, including management of patients with acute and chronic kidney disease, expertise in renal replacement therapy (CRRT, PD, and acute hemodialysis); and experience with kidney transplantation. In addition, a strong emphasis will be placed on research, writing, and representing the Division in the community and at local and national meetings.

Qualified applicants must be BE/BC in Pediatric Nephrology at start date, have a commitment to patient care, teaching, and academic medicine, and must be licensed to practice medicine in Louisiana before hire.
