PEDIATRIC RHEUMATOLOGIST The Division of Pediatric Rheumatology is seeking an energetic and collaborative individual who is committed to outstanding patient care and educational excellence. The successful candidate will join our pediatric rheumatology group that includes an experienced pediatric rheumatologist and a dedicated nurse specialist. Our rheumatology practice is primarily outpatient based with inpatient consultations. Children with primary rheumatologic illness are admitted to the pediatric hospitalist service and are co-managed with our rheumatologist. The Department of Pediatrics provides the full range of inpatient medical and surgical subspecialty services, including pediatric hospitalists, critical care, nephrology, gastroenterology, cardiology and the full spectrum of pediatric surgical subspecialties. We have active outpatient services including outreach clinics in general and subspecialty pediatrics. The successful applicant will participate in, and contribute to, the department’s established clinical and scholarly activities. Teaching and mentorship responsibilities include medical students from several affiliated institutions, and residents in our fully accredited categorical Pediatric and Internal Medicine/Pediatric residency programs. An academic teaching appointment is available through Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine and Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Many resources and opportunities exist to conduct clinical and translational research and in particular within the Genomic Medicine Institute. The position requires board eligibility/certification in Pediatric Rheumatology and PA license.

Facebook Janet Weis Children’s Hospital (JWCH), located on GMC’s campus in Danville, is the region’s only dedicated 5-floor, 91 bed children's hospital with a full-service hospitalist and intensive care services. JWCH’s team of medical and surgical specialists provide care in over 30 pediatric specialties, including a 41 bed Level IV NICU and 14 bed Level I PICU.
