Title: Cardiothoracic Anesthesiologist

Duties: The Cardiothoracic Anesthesiologist at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio provides full perioperative anesthesia services within the cardiothoracic anesthesia department. Services include ambulatory surgery, trauma, cardiac, congenital, vascular, and thoracic for adult patients undergoing surgical procedures. He or she administers local, intravenous, spinal, and caudal anesthetic to patients; determines degree of surgical risk and type/quality of anesthetic; discusses findings with medical practitioners; positions patient on operating table; establishes remedial measures to counteract adverse reactions/complications; documents/records the type and amount of anesthetic administered; and teaches residents and fellows as required.

Requirements: MD or foreign equivalent as determined by a credentials evaluation or as evidenced by an ECFMG certificate, completion of an ACGME accredited 1 year Cardiothoracic Fellowship, Board Eligibility or Certification in Anesthesiology, and eligibility for Ohio medical licensure.

Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience ($330,000)
