Chief/Division Director, Infectious Diseases/Endowed Professorship

FACULTY POSITION, DEPARTMENT OF MEDICINE: Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson Univer­sity, is now accepting applications for a full-time employed faculty position and W. Paul and Ida H. Havens Professor of Infectious Diseases endowed profes­sorship in the Department of Medicine as a division director in the Division of Infectious Diseases and Environmen­tal Medicine at Jefferson. Applicants should have qualifications to meet se­nior faculty rank.

The division director will have respon­sibility for a well-established, dynamic academic program by establishing the clinical and scientific direction of the division, recruitment of both junior and senior clinical investigators and clini­cians, and ensuring a strong education program.

Applicants must have MD degree or equivalent, and be board certified in the field of infectious diseases. In ad­dition, he/she should have a national reputation for excellence in clinical care or clinical or basic science research, demonstrated leadership and mentor­ing skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, a record of inter­disciplinary collaboration, and should be eligible for appointment to the rank of Associate Professor or Professor of Medicine.

Applicants should have research, clini­cal, and faculty experience. Respon­sibilities will include patient care in the hospital, outpatient and consultation settings, teaching, and research.
