Academic Radiologist with special competence in Women's Imaging

Responsibilities will primarily involve clinical care of patients as a Radiologist and a member of the UConn Medical Group, the faculty practice plan of the School of Medicine. Diagnostic radiologist with fellowship training and special competence in Women's Imaging, e.g. fellowship trained or equally qualified. Candidate is expected to perform all aspects of women's imaging to include, but not limited to, screening and diagnostic mammography, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and all types of breast procedures. Additionally, the ideal candidate will also have expertise in Neuroradiology. Vascular and Interventional Radiology is a plus. The candidate will also be expected to perform General Radiology duties as needed in CT, MR, Ultrasound, Arthrography, Nuclear Medicine, Fluoroscopy, Plain Radiography, and non-endovascular interventions.

Candidate appointment is at the Assistant Professor level at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine. As such, the faculty member will teach and supervise residents and medical students as part of routine faculty responsibilities. The candidate may be assigned other additional duties and responsibilities as necessary (e.g. community outreach, lectures, committee membership, etc.).

Qualifications:

  • Expertise in Women's Imaging (successful completion of Fellowship training program or high level of clinical experience)
  • Competency in Neuroradiology and general Diagnostic Radiology
  • American Board of Radiology certified in Diagnostic Radiology
  • Current State of Connecticut medical license Preferred
  • American Board of Radiology certification in Neuroradiology or completion of Neuroradiology fellowship
  • American Board of Radiology certification in Vascular and Interventional Radiology or completion of fellowship
