The Cardiovascular (CV) Imaging Program at Brigham and Women’s Hospital – Harvard Medical School (BWH/HMS) is accepting applications from cardiologists or radiologists physician-scientists for research/clinical training in CV imaging. Starting dates for 2018 are now open. Appointments will be for two years, with the possibility of an extension for another year depending on productivity. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and years of training.
The training program is designed for post-doctoral trainees who have received a MD or MD/PhD degrees who completed clinical training in cardiology or radiology, and are seeking a career in investigative cardiovascular imaging. The CV imaging program offers training opportunities in: molecular imaging, outcomes research, vascular imaging, and imaging of pulmonary heart disease, cardiomyopathies, and cardiovascular genetics. The CV imaging program at BWH/HMS currently has 22 faculty mentors and 12-15 clinical and/or research fellows.
Criteria for selection include: previous outstanding clinical and academic performance, prior research experience and publications, commitment to an academic career in CV imaging science, personal references and an interview.
