TeamHealth has an excellent opportunity for a full-time Physician to join our Pediatric Emergency Department team at Dayton Children's Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. Clinicians will work between the two facilities. A new freestanding Emergency Department, it is a certified Trauma II Center with an annual volume of approximately 80,000 patients per year. Our ED has 46 beds, which includes Fast-Track teams, and offers 63 hours of Physician coverage per day, and 12 hours of Advanced Practice Clinician coverage per day. There is an anticipated volume of 14,000 in the new freestanding ED opening in January 2017, and an estimation of 22,000 by the third year. The new state-of-the-art Pediatric Emergency Department will be approximately 13,000-square-feet with 16 rooms. We will staff the new Emergency Department with 24-hour Pediatric Emergency Medicine Physician coverage with supplemental General Pediatrics coverage during peak hours. EPIC is used as the Electronic Medical Record system. The ideal candidate will be fellowship trained Pediatric Emergency Medicine physicians and General Pediatricians. We encourage Emergency Medicine trained Physicians with extensive pediatric experience, or grandfathered Pediatric Emergency Medicine certified Physicians who did not complete a Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellowship training to apply.
