Medical Director

TeamHealth has an excellent leadership opportunity for a full-time Physician to lead our Emergency Department team at Memorial Healthcare in Owosso, Michigan. Elevate your career and serve as the Assistant Medical Director of this 29,000 patient visit ED. If you are passionate about Emergency Medicine and are a strong communicator, we want to meet you. We ask that you be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine, or have completed an accredited residency program with Emergency Medicine experience. Other qualifications include current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and ATLS certifications with leadership experience preferred. Memorial Healthcare is an easy commute from the Lansing or Flint areas, and schedules 26 hours of daily Physician coverage supported by 12 hours of daily Advanced Practice Clinician coverage. Busy periods are supported by scribes and provides back-up coverage from most main specialties to provide high level and cohesive patient care.

Memorial Healthcare is a 150-bed facility with a medical staff of over 170, and over 1,100 employees. We are a not-for-profit hospital governed by an independent Board of Trustees. We are the only hospital in Shiawassee County, serving a population of approximately 88,000. The Emergency Department is equipped with state-of-the-art telemetry monitoring equipment and is supported by advanced imaging technology including a 64-slice CT and MRI. The emergency team works hand-in-hand with specialists on-call in all disciplines and the hospital's Surgery Department is available 24 hours a day, if needed. An improved triage and treatment process has significantly contributed to reduced wait times for less emergency cases during the busiest hours.
