Medical Director

TeamHealth is looking for a Medical Director to lead our team in the ED at Georgetown Community Hospital in Georgetown, Kentucky. Our 15-bed ED sees an annual patient volume of 25,000 and has an admission rate of 7 percent. Physicians see an average of 1.9 patients per hour and use MedHost as the EMR. We provide 24 hours of Physician and APC coverage daily, and have an excellent process improvement in place with superior throughput times.

Georgetown Community Hospital is a 75-bed acute care facility with an award-winning history of providing excellence in healthcare. Georgetown has been named as one of the "Best Places To Work in Kentucky" for five out of the last six years. The hospital continues to add new medical services and to grow the number of specialist and primary care physicians. It also features an award-winning ICU, Med/Surg Unit and 24-hour Emergency Services Department. State-of-the-art equipment includes: MRI, Lithotripsy, CT Scanner and Ultrasound.

Georgetown and Scott County, Kentucky, are ideally located just 10 miles north of Lexington, the Horse Capital of the World.
