Adventist Health Ukiah Valley is actively seeking a BC/BE, mission minded Orthopedic Surgeon to join our 2 fulltime Orthopedic Surgeons and 1 part-time surgeon in a hospital-associated practice covering Mendocino and Lake Counties. While we are looking for general orthopedic candidates, physicians with sub-specialty training in sports, shoulders or trauma are encouraged. We are in the early stages of becoming a level 3 trauma center and therefore any candidates with trauma experience would be a plus. The call panel is shared (10 days a month) and a clinic schedule of Monday through Friday, seeing 20-25 patients a day, with 1-2 days a week in the OR. This community is in the heart of the Northern California Coast Range, 2 hours north of the Golden Gate Bridge, where wine country meets the redwoods. The Orthopedic practice is set within a strong, high quality, collegial medical community, with many options to expand the practice. Physicians have an excellent relationship with hospital administration resulting in a well-equipped office and operating rooms. Hospital is undergoing multi-stage renovation. The ability to speak Spanish is also helpful but not required. There is a good work life balance, allowing the opportunity to enjoy the wine, waves and wilderness along with local musical and theatrical venues and San Francisco amenities.
