Faculty Intensivist Position:
We are seeking to recruit outstanding intensivists for the Cardiothoracic ICU and newly created Cardiovascular ICU at Mount Sinai Hospital. Candidates are expected to be superb collaborators, dedicated to excellence in patient care, quality outcomes, and who have a passion aligned with our academic mission.
This position will include an academic appointment in the Institute for Critical Care Medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai as well as an academic appointment in the Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative, and Pain Medicine, Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Department of Surgery, or Department of Cardiology depending on the applicants primary specialty. Experience with critically ill cardiac and cardiothoracic patients is preferred. Candidates will be expected to be proficient with standard intensive care procedures (central lines, S-G catheter placement etc).
Candidates should be Board Eligible or Board Certified in Critical Care Medicine. Physicians who may wish to split their time between Critical Care and a primary specialty (e.g., Anesthesiology, Surgery, Medicine, and Emergency Medicine,) are encouraged to apply.

- 24-Bed CTICU and 14-bed CVICU (mixed cardiac surgery and cardiovascular patients)
- 1800 Cardiac surgery cases each year and growing
- Routine and Complex Cardiac surgical cases
- Heart transplants, LVAD, ECMO, TAH,
- Transcatheter Valvular Procedures
- 24/7 Attending coverage
