Boston Area Trauma Service Expanding - Now Interviewing

BOSTON: Lahey Hospital and Medical Center (LHMC), the tertiary care facility of Lahey Health System, is recruiting a BC/BE Acute Care Surgery/Trauma surgeon with added qualifications in Surgical Critical Care to join an expanding Acute Care Surgery/Trauma service within one of the oldest physician-led, multi-disciplinary group practices in the country. '

LHMC is a mature and busy ACS Verified Level II Trauma Center with an active and expanding Acute Care Surgery practice. LHMC is a teaching hospital of Tufts University School of Medicine, with an excellent free-standing general surgery residency program and an ACS Level 1 Comprehensive Education Institute. A new state of the art Emergency Center opened in February 2017.

Clinical responsibilities include trauma and acute care surgery, and surgical ICU care. Teaching of surgical and anesthesia residents and medical students is an integral component of the position. The candidate should also have strong interest and experience in clinical trauma research.
