Full-time Pediatric Hospitalist Opening in Danbury/Norwalk, CT (Fairfield County, 70 miles from NYC)

Western Connecticut Medical Group is seeking a full-time Pediatric Hospitalist to join our established Pediatric Hospitalist Program for coverage at both Danbury and Norwalk Hospitals in Fairfield County, CT, located about 70 miles northeast of New York City. Part-time and per diem options also available. Our 24/7 service includes 12-hour day shifts and 12-hour night call shifts with 24/7 in-house Physician Assistant coverage. We cover pediatric consults and traumas in the ER and the pediatric inpatient services at both hospitals in addition to the well-baby service at Norwalk Hospital. The ideal candidate will be a board certified/eligible pediatrician. This is an employed position with a competitive compensation package, including allowances for CMEs and Dues expenses.

Danbury and Norwalk Hospitals are part of the Western Connecticut Health Network. Established in 1885, Danbury Hospital is a not-for-profit community hospital providing Greater Danbury area residents convenient access to exceptional care. Danbury Hospital has 371 beds and is a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 70,000 ED visits per year.

Norwalk Hospital has 366 beds and is also a Level II Trauma Center with approximately 50,000 ED visits per year. As teaching hospitals, we are associated with the University of Vermont College of Medicine, Yale University School of Medicine, and St. George’s University School of Medicine.
