Responsibilities


  •  Medical Directorship of assigned clinics
    • Administrative leadership 25% and clinical 75%
    • Responsible for overseeing the development and evaluation of standards of medical care throughout the operations in the region.
    • Provides medical direction, as required, to the medical and medical assistance staff.
  • Clinical duties
    • Perform comprehensive physical assessment of patients
    • Order or execute various tests, analyses, and diagnostic images to provide information on patient’s condition
    • Diagnose and treat diseases, disorders and injuries based on patient’s medical history and results of physical assessment and refer patients to medical specialist or other practitioner for specialized treatment
    • Prescribe medications and therapies for treatment and preventive care
    • Instruct patients and their families regarding procedures performed, home care, and follow-up visits
    • Compile patient medical data including health history, treatment plans, results of physical examination, etc. and record in electronic medical records.
    • Plan, promote, demonstrate, recommend and coordinate high standards of medical practice
  • Operational Responsibilities
    • Evaluates data for clinic proposals and presents to potential and existing clients.
    • Interviews potential Practitioner Candidates for on-site clinics.
    • Oversees medications, reviews clinic physical space, coordinates Clinic scheduling.
  • Quality Assurance
    • Serves on teams to assist in improving quality/customer satisfaction.
    • Provides ongoing feedback to help optimize quality performance.
    • Trains new employees as assigned.

Desired Skills


  • The ideal Medical Director has an M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited educational institution.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible, if testing soon, preferably in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine.
  • Unrestricted licensed to practice medicine in the State of California, or CA Provisional License in progress.
  • Current DEA, DPS, CPR and BLS.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of computers and software, Microsoft Office products and proficient typing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize workloads multi-task and manage priorities in order to meet deadlines.
