Job Details

  Geisinger Health System is seeking a board certified/board eligible, Emergency Medicine trained physician for the Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center (GWV), located in Wilkes-Barre, PA. Join a team of Emergency Medicine staff Physicians and enjoy additional coverage through the department’s Advanced Practice Providers, Pharmacists, and Scribes. Practice state-of-the-art medicine with excellent sub-specialty backup and enjoy high acuity, hands-on medicine in Geisinger Health System’s busiest Emergency Department (ED), with over 54,000 visits annually.

 

The ED at GWV houses a total of 32 beds including: 19 acute, 3 trauma, and 5 acute/isolation. In addition, providers have access to 24 hour imaging services, point-of-care lab services, pharmacist coverage (16 hours/day), and care management all within the department. The hospital is currently an accredited Level II Trauma Center and holds a Level I Heart Attack Program.
