A hospital in Colorado needs a general surgeon for 12 sporadic dates of locum tenens coverage. This position will require the locum to see adult, pediatric, and trauma surgery cases while providing 24-hour call coverage. Common cases seen on this assignment will be cholecystectomy, chest procedures, chest intubation, hernias, central line insertions, and other common general surgery procedures. On a typical 24-hour call shift the locum can expect to be called back to the facility an average of three times. This position requires the locum to be board certified or board eligible (within 5 years of residency) and possess an active Colorado medical license.
