The IHW will be a conduit for engaging local and national thought leaders and expertise in health and wellness through research collaborations, fellowships, and visiting or affiliate faculty appointments among other opportunities.

The IHW will interface and collaborate extensively with the healthcare community locally and in the region. It will build new relationships and expand existing relationships and partnerships with area hospital systems, healthcare organizations, community-based agencies, and others to support the educational and employment needs and missions of our community partners, and to serve as a resource for organizing and hosting conferences, symposia and public events related to health and wellness, and for informing and disseminating information about public health issues.

The Director will be the thought and action leader to advance University-wide efforts to establish the IHW as an essential resource and regional leader for University initiatives in health and wellness.
