Chief, Department of General Medicine
Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi (CCAD) is seeking applicants for Chief of the newly restructured Department of General Medicine who reports to the Chief of Medical Subspecialties Institute. This is a major physician leadership, clinical and administrative position. The Dept of General Medicine includes the sections of Internal Medicine, and Primary Care, which will include Family Medicine Consultants, General Practitioners and Nurse Practitioners, and are located on the CCAD campus, in addition to satellite sites.
Candidates should be an experienced clinician with leadership and administrative skills, appropriate academic background to qualify as Clinical Associate or full Professor of Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University. They should have experience in the outpatient clinical setting as well as an understanding of the Cleveland Clinic model of care. The Department of General Medicine will be involved with the creation of teaching and training programs for both medical students and residents.
The Chief of General Medicine will coordinate with the Chief of Medical Subspecialties on all administrative activities of the department, supervise all clinical activities of the department, provide ongoing assessment and improvement of the department's clinical performance and coordinate and integrate services intradepartmentally and interdepartmentally.
