Tenure Eligible Assistant Professor

The Feinberg School of Medicine at Northwestern University, Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiology is seeking full-time physician(s) at the rank of Assistant Professor on the tenure eligible Physician-Scientist track to begin Spring/Summer 2017. Clinical responsibilities include supporting the inpatient cardiology service and the ambulatory clinic.

Ideal candidate must have a strong background in cardiovascular medicine, have completed an ACGME-accredited cardiology fellowship program, hold board-certification in cardiology, have a strong bibliography of peer-reviewed publications that demonstrate research productivity and the ability to obtain extramural funding support. We are broadly interested in candidates with unique skills in the vast array of investigational domains including but not limited to: translational science, genomics, epigenetics, epidemiology, advanced imaging, bioinformatics, outcomes science and prevention. In addition to research skills as noted, the successful candidate will be expected to provide leadership, mentorship and training as appropriate to medical students, residents, fellowship trainees and/or graduate students. Salary is commensurate with experience.
